You cant beat a good old fashioned beddy/whippet or beddy/whippetxgreyhound seen them work was very impressed with them that is what i would go for one if i wanted another lurcher...in my opinion a good old fashioned beddy has got one of the best noses in the terrier breeds..ive seen beddys work and they are impressive a few friends of mine use them alot one of the blokes uses them with his hounds hes put hound into them hes put that hound into them to make them sing well while huntin so he knows where they are. Another bloke who i know he use them for huntin mink down the rivers i have seen one of his beddys jump in the river and caught a coot underneath the water while the coot was diving.

I am the same as you i have got a bull x but i have got terriers but hes works up like my terriers cause i take him out with them together alot but he still works well on the lamp :good::good::good:

if you also want it to take hare and other......id take no notice of buster :D

Prick...ive seen it done taking rabbit, hare, fox and deer and go on other things as well...have you ever bin out with one....did you know about this either some of the blood lines what people use on the fennes have got abit of beddy in them anyway didnt you know that

One thing you will have to watch if you have terrier in your lurcher is if it gets fired up you may end up with a dead bird.

Sorry mate thats a good point...but if brought up from a young age (should be ok i think) :good:

in the last 20 years id say dozens lol its the only cross i can speak about with some real experience.

most of my season will be spent amongst this type of dog.

had the best ferreting sessions ever with them, been out on the lamp with the same dogs and there piss poor

in comparison to other types available.

the lad asked about x,s rabbits hares and other and you sugest a bedlington whippet.

i forget some folk are not really arsed wether the dog becomes and allrounder or not and just want a dog to get out with.

if you know a beddy whippet taking rabbit, fox, hare n deer :D then its special.

Beddy/whippet x greyhounds are great all rounders. My one and his littermates do the business with ease. The only quarry my dog hasn't got near yet is hare and that's only because he hasn't come across one. He is one hell of a fast dog though. :)
